Is LJ haunted?? Do I need to do a salt'n'burn?

When I open an LJ entry to comment or read comments, there are little blue rotating circles under each REPLY link.

What is happening????

LJ just added a Like feature; check out the latest entry at lj_releases. The spinning circle shows up in some old styles where it doesn't work quite right yet.
