Was about 500 words in doing a fill for
spn_masquerade and no I'm not saying which prompt :p and my laptop froze. Couldn't even copy the text to paste into another doc and I didn't think to write it out longhand before I did the only thing I could -- a cold reboot.
Now I have to try to recreate what I had written and I just know it's not going to be as good. Oh well, lesson learnt, I suppose.
On a slightly happier note-- Welcome back Windows 7!!!! I have missed you so much and am so, so sorry for dumping you for that awful Windows 10 upgrade. Will promise to never do that again!!!

Date: 2015-09-06 07:35 am (UTC)Perhaps it will be better for the rewrite?
Well, that's answered that question, I will not be going for the upgrade.

Date: 2015-09-07 01:35 am (UTC)You are the first person I know of who doesn't like Win10 . My husband and two friends love it. What don't you like about it? I'm planning to do my upgrade sometime in the coming week, but before I do, I'd appreciate knowing what you don't like about it.

Date: 2015-09-08 12:41 pm (UTC)I hated the new integrated browser, Edge mainly because I couldn't have my all my home tabs open at once, like I can in Internet Explorer so I kept using IE which isn't really compatible with Win10 so it kept freezing and crashing.

Date: 2015-09-08 12:46 pm (UTC)I'm glad I switched back. My laptop is a lot more stable now, was always freezing and crashing. Whether that was because of it's age (about 4 years old now) or because it just couldn't handle Win10, I don't know. just glad I've got my ol' gal, Win7, back again.

Date: 2015-09-08 01:00 pm (UTC)Rang my ISP to see if the emails were still on their server but nope!! Lost in the internet ether, never to be found!!! So I've been busy all afternoon emailing everyone (Creation, the Marriott in Denver, the Sheraton in Pasadena, 2 different hostels) I've booked something with and asking if they can resend confirmations and PDF's. Luckily I had saved my 3 Greyhound bus tickets to my hard-drive so I don't have bother chasing them up as well.
Once I get them (IF I get them) I will be saving everything to a thumb drive or 2 as well as printing everything out in triplicate!!!!
