It's true about Sam's favorites. I was just reading about the music used in SPN, and Kripke telling us that Sam would probably like all the modern popular music, but Kripke didn't know any so that's why they never introduced it and now, not mentioning it is a "thing." I guess that way the watcher can imagine anything they want <3 I liked Sam talking about how he read the books before watching Game of Thrones, since I did as well.
