inanna_maat. I've loved her art for several of my favourite big bang fics so I'm very excited to be collaborating with her on "Chained."
Ideas flowed thick and fast and I've already sent her a rough outline and lots of questions as to her likes and dislikes so that I can write the very best fic that does her gorgeous art the justice it deserves.

I've sent her a rough outline of about 600 words and a million and one questions on what she does and doesn't like and what her thoughts are on bits that I've included and how I can make it better so it does her gorgeous art justice. Just hope I haven't scared her at all. :-)

Nov. 3rd, 2014 12:20 amspn_reversebang claims opened tonight at 11pm my time. I slept past 11, ended up putting it my claim at 11.32pm and may still get my 2nd choice. Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've skimmed all the prior comments and only 2 other people had it in their lists and both of those received other prompts so it's still available.Even if I had posted at 11pm as was my plan, my first choice was taken by someone who posted within about 30 seconds of claims opening, so I doubt I would have gotten it anyways.
Just waiting, waiting, waiting for the mods to confirm that R2027-- Chained is mine.
ETA: I got it!!!!!!!! Now I just have to write it!!!! Have some initial ideas to begin with and can't wait to get input and more inspiration from my artist.
I can only choose 5???????
Nov. 1st, 2014 12:47 pmWow, that was so, so hard. Just spent the last couple of hours looking at and drooling over all the amazing arts for this year's spn_reversebang. So many wonderful prompts by very talented artists made choosing my initial list very, very difficult. I eventually got it down to 12, mainly Sam/Dean and J2 + a couple of other pairings, 1 of which I haven't even written before but the art for it was so eye-catching and thought provoking that I could see it as a challenge to expand my boundaries as a writer.
And then came the really hard part, narrowing the dozen down to just five. Finally settled on 2 J2, 1 Sam/Dean, 1 Sam/? (being careful not to reveal the exact pairing) and that "other" pairing. Now I have to think about what order to put them in. Luckily, I'll be extremely happy to get ANY of my choices so the exact order doesn't really matter, I suppose.
I remember how crazy insane claims were last year. Had my choices in a little Word doc, all ready to paste into the comment window as soon as the claims post went live. Was pretty quick and posted in under a minute. However there were already 3 pages of comments before mine and my first choice was also the first or second choices of quite a few authors before me, so I knew straight away I wouldn't get it. Here's hoping for better luck and faster posting this year. And maybe, hopefully, I've chosen some of the more unusual prompts that may have slipped under other folk's radar.
So looking forward to claims, 11pm tomorrow night my time. Let the madness begin.
To all my fellow RBB authors, here's hoping you all get your top choices (unless, of course, they happen to be my top choices :-) Best of luck to you all.
And to the all the wonderfully gifted artists. Thanks very very much for providing so many amazing prompts. May you get the author of your dreams who will write you the most epic of fics.

Oct. 26th, 2013 10:21 amJust spent the last couple of hours going through all the wonderful, amazing art prompts for
spn_reversebang. Had the hardest time narrowing down my initial list of about 12 to my top 5 and then getting those 5 in order but it's finally done. I'm really, really hoping I get either of my top 2 as those were the ones that grabbed me from the start but I'll be happy with snagging any of them. Have ideas already forming in my twisted little mind and can't wait to start writing. Claims to open up in just over 15 hours. The timing is great as I get home from work just before so will be wide awake and raring to go. Will even have them typed up in a word doc so I can cut/paste into the comments sections as soon as the claims post is up.
