Just started working again on my fic for the samdean_otp mini-bang and read through what I'd already written for the second chapter. It's a shower scene that has been giving me lots of trouble, sounding perfect in my head and crap as I type it up. A note at the top says it needs a major re-write and yet when I read it today, I actually liked it. I liked it a lot. Sure it still needs some minor tweaking to smooth things out, but it's a lot better than I had previously thought. Have even worked out how to include a bit of background info and a flashback or two.

I didn't mention shower!sex but yes there will be some form of shower!sex. In fact, that's what was giving me the most problems. Dean won't behave himself. I don't want him doing too much beyond a handjob but he wants to go all the way and he was being very stubborn but I think I've gotten him under control. And poor Sam, he is getting hurt more than I'd intended and it's only the start.

Nothing to be sorry about!!! Of course, Sam + Dean + shower should always = shower!sex. Two gorgeous naked guys in a very small and confined space, with all the hot steam and soap suds making everything slippery and soft to the touch. Very reasonable connection to make.

Damn, now I think I need a shower.... a cold one!!!!

It is cruel which is why I'm so happy that I'm really enjoying myself and my writing at the moment. I read plenty of posts by my favourite authors where things are not so good and feel the same way at times (my writing sucks, my fics suck, I suck) that during the good times, I like to revel in it.

PS, I'm hoping you are still interested in doing beta for me or at least giving me some general feedback.

I think it's just the way it works. I've been dragging my minibang out of my muse 100 words at a time, I think the story is okay but the execution is like pulling teeth right now...but then I went on masquerade and BAM! 2k crack!fic in one sitting...Infuriating! It is totally worth slogging through the sludgy writing spells to get to the good stuff though : )
