Big Bang breakthrough....

I have finally got my opening line and I loves it beyond words!!!!! And I finally have a clear image in my head as to what happens in the prologue to get Sam to where I need him to be for the majority of the story. I've been stressing about this damn start for weeks, beginning countless scenes only to delete them all as being utter crap.

I wrote my BB's last line (and most of the epilogue) late last week and I love that one just as much.

Now I just have to re-write and edit the 50-odd-,0000 words in between into something resembling a coherent, interesting story and my first spn_j2_bigbang will be ready.

I'm using a story I started over 10 years but never finished. It will need a fairly substantial re-write to get it heading in the direction I want it to go, but I should still be able to use about 80% of what I've already written, just with some minor character changes. It's amazing how well the general premise is fitting in with the SPN universe. Plus with a minimum 20,000 words needed for the BB, I have over 30,000 extra words to play around with so am unafraid of using the delete button when needed.

So full outline has been completed. I know pretty much what happens to who and when and how and why. I know who lives and who dies and who kills them!!

Wish me luck, f-listies cos I'm certainly gonna need it.

No, that one from last year is on hold. Not sure if I'll go back to it.

This one is one that started out as an X-Files fic that I never finished. It was 2/3's done so I figured I would have a better chance of finishing it. It's a very heavy Sam-centric/ Dean-lite darkfic set in a medieval/fantasy type world where an ancient prophecy tells of the Last Hunter who will kill the most powerful of all demons and free a people from generations of slavery.

PS: Have you watched 821 yet??? If so, can't wait to hear your thoughts and reactions.

I loved it too, but after staring at where I left off for a couple of days and not writing a single word, I went looking through my old WIP folder to see what else I could finished. Found HOFAH, skimmed through it and Sam fit the main role so well with only a few minor changes, it sort of chose itself. And putting it into the SPN universe makes an even better story than I started with, so bonus!!!!

Thought you would love it. It was a fantastic ep and Jared was simply brilliant. He made me laugh and cry, quite often in the same scene and at the same time. Think my fav was the grand canyon memory. I'm both really looking forward to and dreading the next two weeks, all the while trying to stay spoiler-free. Got a bit spoiled (scene where Sam collapses) by an ad on Ch 11 while the ep was downloading, but otherwise had no idea what was going to happen.

Can't believe we are so close to the end of S8 and the start of another painfully long hellatus.

Congratulations! What a great feeling it is, to get the part that won't come to finally get on the page.
I would totally take a crack at beta for you if you'd like, your story sounds very interesting. And I somehow really love the idea of it being an unfinished x-files fic.
Back to looking over my 40k bigbang so that it's in good enough shape to send to the artist asap this weekend!

There is a lot of graphic violence and Sam-whumping as well as non-con m/m sex scenes, wincest, other implied incest and underage child abuse (implied) so if anything squicks you let me know.

Wow, thanks for that!!!

I'm having heaps of fun writing it and seeing all the little twists and turns my muse is throwing in. The opening scene has gone in a direction I never thought it would. I'm certainly going to be dropping any readers in the deep end. Just hope it's not too deep causing people to stop reading.

Oh well, will see what my betas think.
