My fandoms: Supernatural, Farscape, Outlander, Stargate SG1, Torchwood, Dr Who (9th or 10th Drs/companions only, haven't watched 11 or 12 eps) X-Files, Queer As Folk (US), Firefly, NCIS:LA, Gilmore Girls

I really like her. She's so sweet and adorable, gets on with everyone. Plus she's very cute.
2. Is he/she important to the general plot?
I think all the characters are important to the plot as they all seem to impact each other in various ways. I would have loved to have seem more Kaylee-centric eps and if it hadn't been cancelled so soon, we probably would have gotten to know more about her.
3. Can you relate to this character at all? Does he/she grip you emotionally?
Definitely. I'm very much a 'tom-boy' always have been and yet I loved Kaylee's sheer delight when she saw that big frilly pink dress and wanted to do the whole dress-up to go to the ball. I relate to her as a woman in a male dominated work-force. I was a courier for about 20 years and had numerous times when someone questioned why the company didn't send a man to pick up a particularly large and/or bulky item or lots of heavy boxes and furniture.
4. How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from?
Don't have that much interaction with Firefly fandom. I know they are pretty good when it comes to raising funds and awareness for charity. One thing I remember was when Serenity was released in theatres, I went to a couple pre-release screenings. I'd done my best to remain as spoiler free as possible, so was of course, shocked beyond belief when a major character was killed off during the movie. What I did love was that at the next screening, those who knew what would happened were really good about not spoiling it for all the first-time viewers. I've been at a lot of other movies where repeat viewers would totally spoil things while still in line for tickets.
5. Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by his/her relationship with any other character(s)? (romance-wise or platonic)
I only ever got the big brother/little sister vibe between Mal and Kaylee. I would have loved to have seen her and Inara get together as I think she had a rather big crush on her. But, I would have okay with her being with Simon in future eps as she really did love him and above all, I'd want her to be happy.
6. Is there anything about the character you would change?
Not really. I love how she was written and I especially love how Jewel Staite played her.
7. If you were in the fandom with this character or knew this character in real life, how would you see yourself interacting with him/her? Would you get along well? Fall in love with him/her? Dislike? Have a friendly rivalry?
I would love to hang out with her. Hell, I would sleep with her as I pretty much fell in love with her the first time I saw her on screen and I think she's just so gorgeous and sexy in a really sweet and innocent kind of way.
8. Does this character make the cut as one of your all time favorites (if you like) or least favorites?
Definitely top 10. If I just listed female characters, then she'd make the top 5.
9. Would you hype up this character (if you like) or warn about this character (if you dislike) to someone new to fandom?
Certainly hype her up. She's such a great character, not your average blonde bimbo that usually bore me to tears.

I like her well enough.
2. Is he/she important to the general plot?
In the early books, she has a part to play in explaining the time-travel through the stones but overall, I would say no.
3. Can you relate to this character at all? Does he/she grip you emotionally?
Not really. She's very much a femme-fatale, not above using her body and sex to get what she wants. The fact that I barely remember her means she didn't have a big impact on me.
4. How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from?
It seems to be very open and welcoming. From the couple of LJ comms I'm following they are especially good to people who have only seen the few eps of the TV show and be very careful not to spoil upcoming eps and the books.
5. Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by his/her relationship with any other character(s)? (romance-wise or platonic)
Nope.
6. Is there anything about the character you would change?
At this time, no. I would have to re-read the books she's in to see if there is anything worth changing.
7. If you were in the fandom with this character or knew this character in real life, how would you see yourself interacting with him/her? Would you get along well? Fall in love with him/her? Dislike? Have a friendly rivalry?
Probably not be good friends but I could see myself wanting to talk to her about the potions and herbs she uses.

No.

Neither really as she is such a minor character in an enormous story with so many other, more important and interesting characters

Loved him. Very sexy and cheeky and so not what angels are supposed to be, even in the SPN 'verse.
2. Is he/she important to the general plot?
No but for the few eps he was in, then yes he was central, usually by screwing things up that the boys then had to fix.
3. Can you relate to this character at all? Does he/she grip you emotionally?
I can relate to his love of enjoying all the good things in life, to not worrying about the consequences and just do whatever the hell he wants. And yet, he wasn't selfish. When Cas or the boys were in trouble he did what he could to help even when it put himself in danger. So I relate also to his loyalty and concern for his friends and those he loves.
4. How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from?
This fandom is my life, it seems. I love it. Have made so many wonderful, life-long friends online and in RL. It's completely crazy and over-the-top with enough occasional wankery to keep things really exciting. Seems like barely a week goes by without some sort of controversy between different factions and yet when we need to pull together to win People Choice awards or buying t-shirts to support the actors charities and then buying more for complete strangers who can't afford them we all work as one amazing team. We truly are a Family and one that I am immensely proud to be a part of.
5. Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by his/her relationship with any other character(s)? (romance-wise or platonic)
Yes!!! Souless!Sam. Would have loved to have seen what purpose Balthazar would have used Sam for after giving him the soul rejection spell. I think sex would have certainly been involved, super dirty, super kinky sex that Souless!Sam would have embraced as eagerly as he did hookers and random bathroom ravishings.
Other than that, I think it would have great for Sam to have his own angel to confide in and bond with, like Dean has with Cas.
6. Is there anything about the character you would change?
Yes!!!! That he wasn't dead. Would love it if they could bring him back somehow, even if it's just 1 episode. Another wonderful character killed way too soon, especially since so many of the current or recent angels are so boring and lacking in personality

Hell yeah. Just put us in a room with lots of sexy, sexy guys and girls and lots of alcohol. I would insist we do that ménage-a-what's French for 12?? thing he mentioned in one ep, while drinking champagne out of Sam's belly button. We'd get along like a house on fire, I think.
8. Does this character make the cut as one of your all time favorites (if you like) or least favorites? Yes, certainly top 10 and probably top 5 if it's SPN only. Love him to bits.

Oh, definitely. However, I would warn folk not to get too attached given how short his run on the show. I hate falling in love with characters only to have them killed off.

Love him but there have been a few times during the series that I haven't liked him, mostly because of things he's done and said and how he's treated Sam. If Sam wasn't there, I would be a massive Dean!girl. I love his loyalty, self-sacrifice and bravery. I love how he enjoys so many of life's simple pleasures, music, sex, alcohol.

Hell yeah!! Without Dean, there would be no SPN. I can't imagine the show without him.

See my answer above for Balthazar. I'll also add how open and welcoming the fan-fic writers and readers are. At least where I hang out, there is hardly any ship wars or kink shaming. I feel like I can write what I like and whilst I'll never get dozens of comments, there will always be at least a couple of others who enjoy my fics and leave amazing feedback that tells me I'm not as perverted and twisted as I thought.

Yep. Sam/Dean is my OTP for Dean. With the way they were raised and how much Dean puts into looking after Sam and protecting him, I just can't imagine Dean with anyone else. I also absolutely love his relationship with John, how he changes from the bossy, self-assured man he is with Sam to the very 'Yes, sir. No, sir!' Dad's word is law, lower rank soldier when John is around. Would be fascinating to see how he would relate to John now after everything both him and Sam have been through.
6. Is there anything about the character you would change?
Oh, yeah. The secrets and the lies. He has said many times that he hates it when Sam or others lie to him and keep secrets and yet he does it to them all the time, usually with devastating results: Gadreel killing Kevin after Dean tricked Sam into being possessed and then lying point blank to Sam for months afterwards.
I want him to start trusting Sam to know what's best for Sam, even if that doesn't match what Dean wants. I want him to stop telling Sam that his only place is in the Impala with Dean driving down crazy street, regardless of what Sam wants and esp when Dean knew that Sam wanted out, wanted a life and girl and to possibly go back to school. I loved it in the last ep that Dean said "he'd like Sam to stay." It was a request not an order or demand, so maybe there is hope.
7. If you were in the fandom with this character or knew this character in real life, how would you see yourself interacting with him/her? Would you get along well? Fall in love with him/her? Dislike? Have a friendly rivalry?
Well I already love the bloke so would hope we'd get along. I would definitely rival him in wanting to protect (and fuck) Sam and would not hesitate to give him a good tongue lashing or kick up the butt if I think he is treating Sam badly. I'd love to go on a long, long road trip with him listening to all the classic rock, eating copious amounts of junk food in road-side diners and watching movies in cheap, crappy motels.

Yes, #2 of my favs.

All the hype!!!! Not that he really needs it. It was pretty much love at first sight for me. He really is so much more than the cocky, rock-loving, car-geek, womaniser we met back in the Pilot.

I can certainly relate to Dean's enormous love and need for his family and to want things to be how they were in the past, perfect.
Definitely. I have a very much love/hate relationship with him. I couldn't believe how mad I was at him for most of Season 5 and the way he treated Sam so harshly for hooking up with Ruby, the demon blood, letting Lucifer out, letting Sam take the full blame for starting the Apocalypse even though he broke the first seal. When he threw the Samulet in the trashcan right in front of Sam, was probably the most I've ever disliked him.
