What holiday dessert do you enjoy?

My favourite is Christmas pudding with brandy custard. The pudding has to be really loaded with fruit (raisins, sultanas, glazed cherries and pineapple, candied orange and lemon peel) and soaked for months in alcohol. My nana made the best ones I've ever tasted. She also did a fantastic trifle (layers of sponge cake, custard and jelly -- or jello, I think for my US f*listies) that was also soaked for ages in brandy and rum.

Cheesecake will always be a favourite, no matter the time of year, or celebration.
Pavlova is also delicious, though I'm not a fan of the passionfruit puree used in many recipes, I go for strawberries and lashings of whipped cream.

My mom used to make a ton of little tart shells and we'd load them with mince meat or lemon custard ... loved those *drool*

I love love love cheesecake. I have eaten an entire one in 1 sitting on more than one occasion. Now I have found little mini cheesecakes which allow me to get my fix without all the calories and resultant guilt. I'm supposed to losing weight, damn it!!!!

Despite being an Aussie, I'm not a fan of the 'pav because I don't like cream, so would just be left with the merange (sp?) and fruit so it's rather pointless.
