Snippet of Jared singing 'White Christmas'

This is from Jason Mann's 'Christmas With Friends' CD which will be released on Dec 1. I donated to the kickstarter fund, so will be getting the CD but, as I won't be able to wait weeks for it to be sent from the US, I'll also be buying the digital download.

It's very, very short and very, very quiet and unfortunately Jason talks over most of it but it's enough to get me very excited about hearing Jared sing for the first time. Also, it's unmastered, so I know it will sound so much better when finished but still it's Jared and he's singing and he's wonderful.

Jared's is quite gravelly, very deep. I'm always kind of surprised by how deep his voice can be. Sounds nice though.

Oh, yes. He is a wonderful singer, but we knew that already from all the singing he's been doing at the cons over the last year or so.

I was actually rather nervous about hearing Jared singing for the fear that I wouldn't like it. I read comments at the site where I saw the link before hitting play and all of them were very complimentary which really surprised me as the site is usually full of folk who really don't like Jared and make no secret of the fact.

What little of Jared I could hear, I really liked. Can't wait for the fully mastered complete version. I think it's going to be endless rotation on my mp3 player for quite a while come December.

I wouldn't have any negative feelings if Jared's singing turned out to be terrible or something, because a human can't be perfect in everything. I'm grateful enough that he would sing in it :)

Oh, wow, these are awesome. I can't believe it - these are actually my two favourite Christmas songs ever. What a coincidence. I can't believe Jensen's...that is just stunning. No surprise there, obviously, but still wonderful to listen to.


And Jared's...wow...what a surprise. He has a really lovely voice; I can't wait to hear more of him. And I kind of wish Jason hadn't talked over the whole thing. That was a little irritating, tbh. >:-(

Jared really has a lovely voice, at least from what I can tell from that short clip (wish it was longer, but hey, it's something I guess).
