So much awesomeness, so little free time

A few of the things currently on my want-to-do list:

1/ spn_j2_bigbang has begun and my list of must-reads is growing daily, starting with 2 fics that I did some beta reading on, 1 of which has doubled in size since I first beta-read it. Can't wait to see the changes in both fics which were both excellent to begin with.

2/ Read book 1 of George RR Martin's Songs of Fire & Ice series,  Game Of Thrones. Have loved the first 2 seasons of the tv series and looking forward to reading the books. Have only bought GoT so far. Don't want to repeat the costly mistake I made buying all 12 of Terry Goodkind's Sword Of Truth series at once after seeing and loving a few episodes of Legend Of The Seeker, racing through the first 5 or 6, then as each book became more and more bogged down and boring, struggling to get through the rest. Forced myself only because I had already bought them all. So will be taking things a lot slower with SoF&I, only buying each novel after I've seen the corresponding season of the tv show.

3/ Dvd series re-watches: Zooming through House (season 4 at the moment). It's been years since I'd seen these early eps and in some cases it's like watching them for the first time. Next show will be something shorter, I think, maybe Firefly/Serenity or Prison Break, perhaps even a first viewing of Oz which I've heard great things about. And reliving the wonderful House/Wilson relationship, I feel a Boston Legal rewatch is also in the works as I just love Denny/Alan. 

4/ The urge to get back to writing my own fic for next year's Big Bang is growing like an itch wanting to be scratched. Put it on hold while I helped out other BB'ers and my trip over east for the AHBL3 con, but ideas of where to take unfinished scenes are rolling around my brain again and as is usual for me, random bits of scenes and dialogue are popping into my mind, usually while I'm far away from my laptop. Am hoping that once I can get all the sex scenes completed (seems those are the only scenes my perverted mind wants to create at the moment) I can concentrate on writing at least a few chapters that don't involve Dean touching, kissing, shaving and fucking Sam wherever and whenever he pleases, with or without Sam's consent. Not really sure the BB is the right place to post a 40,000 word very kink-heavy PWP, so must find and develop a convincing plot to go along with all the sex.

Wonder if devoting set days to each of the above would work, say Mon, Wed, Fri reading BB, Tues&Thurs reading GoT and the weekend devoted to writing my own BB. The dvd watching I can do whilst I'm reading and writing.

Hmmmm, sounds like a plan. Not sure it'll work but am more than willing to give it a go if it means I can get to enjoy all the goodies at the same time.

I'm also rewatching House, but I'm doing S6-7 first, then 4-5, then (if I'm still keen) going back to the beginning.

I know when I was watching Boston Legal for the first time, I was really struck by how much warmer Denny and Alan's relationship is than House and Wilson's. H/W felt distant by comparison, even though they probably care about each other just as much.

I couldn't do such a backwards re-watch. I always start at the beginning and work my way through. I may skip the odd ep here & there is I really dislike it.

Hmmm interesting observation. I'll have to keep it mind when I do my BL re-watch.

It's just that there's so much canon with this one and I was afraid that if I started at the beginning there was a chance I'd run out of steam before getting to the ones I most wanted to rewatch (6 & 7). Watching in order is definitely better in general!
