I think Sam/spear is my new favourite OTP. Sam was fantastic, strong and bad-ass with some awesome moves. So much better than him getting knocked out and tied up by the bad guy or monster of the week. Not that I don't love some bondage with my Sam, it's just that I love Sam being given the chance to show how awesome a fighter he is. This is the guy who killed a vamped-up Gordon and took out 2 fully armed SWAT guys.

I love the contradictory nature of badass Sam. He puts his whole body into it, like, gonna stab this dude as hard as I can, and then when it happens he's like 'oh, was that me?' Like a giant puppy who sits on someone and squishes them, and doesn't understand that they're not a tiny puppy who can just sit on someone's lap. Look at that final gif and tell me it doesn't look like he doesn't quite get how he did that.
