Thank you so much to stir_of_echoes for letting me share this wonderful post.

As much as I love Sam Winchester, I also love seeing Jared playing other roles (possibly the only reason I'll be able to survive SPN ending one day in the (hopefully) very far and distant future). Even though it's under 5 mins long, Jared still put so much thought and emotion and life into his character. His performance is raw and honest and so heartbreaking, I teared up the first time I watched.

This video touched me on such a visceral level when I first saw it, I think I cried for a solid ten minutes straight. The first hint of seeing it still brings tears to my eyes.

He is which is why it saddens me a little that he's said he wants to basically retire after SPN. I don't begrudge him wanting to spend a lot more time with Gen and their kids (he's missed so much of their lives already) but I really will miss seeing him on screen.
