Update on rental situation!!
and it's all good news!!!!
My friend has contacted her property manager and they are ok with me taking over her lease. Just have to fill out the usual paperwork and start saving the $1400 I'll need to cover the bond + extra for moving costs, getting internet connected and utilities transferred over to my name.
Still can't believe this has happened so quick!! Now I can concentrate on packing and getting rid of stuff that I don't want or need anymore.

And the place has a bath-tub!!! Silly thing to get excited about but by God, I've missed being able to soak in a nice warm bath as I only have a shower stall (and a tiny cramped one at that) in my current place.
And she gets good internet coverage which is really important too.
So not only is it A place to live, it's the PERFECT place for me.

I hope you manage to save the money okay - it won't bring in much, but a garage sale is a great way to kill two birds with one stone if you're trying to get rid of things. I'm also glad it's pet friendly - as someone with two cats, I know it's a scary prospect of not finding a place that is.
