J2 launch #AlwaysKeepFighting Part 2
This whole campaign is so amazing I want to document it here in all it's glory.
Can our boys possibly be any more awesome, adorable or insane????
Jared announces the next phase of his wonderfully successful t-shirt campaign (over 46,000 shirts sold in just 2 weeks).
Even though it's 4am my time (West coast of Australia), it's not a problem as I'm working a late shift. Guess there is some pro's to working midnight-8am when dealing with US timezones.
Not too surprising that he gets us all anticipating something awesome, only to leave us hanging for another 24 hours. He's such a tease but I love him for it. I also love how he almost said who was helping him. Not that it was much of a surprise in the end. Jared and Jensen seem joined at the hip lately and even closer than usual if that's at all possible.
And then, finally, the announcement we had been waiting 2 days for:

so… we wanted to take a little time to let you guys know what we’ve been planning over the last couple weeks :).
here goes…
with the crazy success of the #SPNFamily, and #AlwaysKeepFighting campaigns, we’ve seen FIRST-HAND the kinds of amazing things that can be accomplished when we all work together to support causes that are important and meaningful to us all.
With y'all's help, we’ve been able to raise (literally!) hundreds of thousands of dollars to support great organizations. Organizations like To Write Love On Her Arms, Wounded Warriors, St. Jude’s, Attitudes In Reverse, The Down Syndrome Connection, and more.
Beyond the financial benefits to these charities (and, in our opinions, even MORE IMPORTANTLY), we’ve also been able to start conversations about issues that have, up to now, been so heavily stigmatized by those who don’t understand, that they were often just avoided outright or hidden. We, as a group, have been able to offer support and love to people who we have never had the pleasure of meeting face-to-face.
Y'all rock.
Take it from two guys who flip through their comment sections every now and again, YOU ARE HELPING COUNTLESS OTHERS!
The causes we’ve been able to support so far are fantastic and deserving. We can't wait to continue to work with them in the future. Wonderfully, our eyes have been opened to lots of other charities and causes that might need a helping hand to grow, or may not have even been started yet!
With that in mind, and with the understanding that there are SO MANY great organizations out there that could use a little push, we (Jensen and Jared, Dean and Sam, Squirrel and Moose, Jason and Dean [for you Smallville and Gilmore Girls fans], you get the idea) have decided to start a fund to support a variety of causes, now and in the future, that can help make the world as we know it a better place. We have a close friend (though much older than we) that "Randomly" performs certain "Acts" that change the world, and people's lives, for the better. It's been an inspiration, and we thought, we should do that too!
We have the "bug". We want to seek out and find MORE worthy causes (while still supporting the aforementioned charities, of course) so that there can be an overwhelming abundance of places people can go to seek help. Whether it's for mental illness, depression, addiction, or for causes that we are not even aware of yet!
In addition to the fund that we have started, we are ALSO going to work with that guy named Misha Collins (maybe you've heard of him) and his wonderful charity "Random Acts" to increase our reach and accomplish things that we simply could not accomplish alone. We've learned, after all these years, that things are better when we're all working together.
So, there you have it.

So many little things I love about this message, from the opening "Moose and Squirrel" to Jared's trademark "y'alls" to Jared listing Jensen and his characters first, and the friendly digs at Misha. I could literally hear Jared's voice as I read it and I could hear and feel his enthusiasm and delight at not only how much money has been raised but the added bonus of fans the world over coming together not only to support the campaign and benefiting charities but each other as well.
With 12,000 sales on the first day, Jared posts a celebration out-take:
Yes we get a friggin' gag-reel from a 1 minute vid. Have I said how much I love these guys!!!!!
And then Jensen joins in with his own out-take. Having just lost a close friend, Jensen, not surprisingly, seemed a little subdued in the announcement vid so I think that made the first out-take even sweeter, to see the fun and goofy Jensen we know and love so much was still there.
Jensen: Hey Jared Padalecki...I'll see your 1st outtake and raise you a second. I definitely think you win this one, Jensen.
I admit I freaked out just a little when I first saw the 'screenshot' for this out-take and then I watched it and started laughing out loud and was still giggling minutes later when a customer came to the night-pay window. It's a good thing I work alone and it was very very quiet at that time of the morning so I could watch it a few more times. So, not only do we get awesome, insane footage that has me wondering how many takes they eventually did and was Jared the 'director'??? if so, that's even more awesomeness, but it came with VFX as well. At least I'm assuming it's special effects and not an app, as only their eyes were altered but however they did it, it was both damn creepy and hilarious.

Our Story So Far...

I've binge watched pretty much every J2 con panel I can find and they are all amazing, I'm just so over the moon knowing that I'll be in the same room as them. Knowing I'm also getting photos and autos with them has me shaking like a leaf with excitement. It's literally a dream come true.
