Just saw an ad for The Gilmore Girls, stating it's starting on free-to-air tv this Monday at 5.30pm (on ch99 GO, for any Aussies reading) and I squeeled out loud. They didn't show Dean but just knowing he's going to be in so many eps was enough to get all excited about.

The weird thing is I have all 7 seasons of GG on dvd, so can watch them anytime I like and have only just finished watching season 5 a couple of weeks ago and yet I know I'll be watching on the TV (with ads) when they start airing next week.

I do this ALL the time! I sit through movies/ TV shows when they're on TV, knowing it'll be the ass-crack of dawn by the time they go off because of all of the ad breaks, when I could easily go and pop in the DVD. Weird....

So I'm not the only crazy.... ummmm. devoted one??? I even watch the Aussie airing of SPN (yes, again with all the annoying ads) the following week even though I download the show after the US east coast feed and have usually watched it multiple times.

What is it about watching repeats on actual TV over watching them whenever on DVD that feels so special? There are a bunch of shows and movies I could watch whenever I want, but have them come on television by surprise and I'm scrambling to watch! :D I guess it's because it's like yay, the TV agrees with me that this is a show worth watching! :D
